Control Products has been an industry leader for over 20 years in electronic refrigeration controls design. Our customer base includes leading manufacturers of food service equipment, medical storage and transport refrigeration. Control Products was one of the first companies to introduce low cost digital electronic and solar thermometers to the refrigeration market. Since that time we have evolved into an industry leader in providing both-off-the-shelf controllers, temperature alarms and indicators, as well as custom OEM electronic controls designed to meet specific application needs. The end result may be simply a low cost electronic control that replaces a mechanical remote bulb temperature controller, or a full featured custom designed controller that incorporates a touch screen color display and embedded communications technology. In addition to basic on/off control algorithms, Control Products has also developed electronic refrigeration controls that utilize thermoelectric technology. This technology provides both refrigeration and heating capability without the use of a compressor. One of the main benefits of a thermoelectric refrigeration system is its extremely quiet operation. An application example is refrigeration in hospitals, where a quiet environment is highly desired. A thermoelectric refrigeration system can also be very small physically and weigh only a few pounds. This fits well for applications where the products need to be mobile or the space within the equipment cabinet is limited. Control Products has also developed several proprietary technologies that have been utilized in refrigeration applications. One such technology, dTRED, vastly increases the performance of ice-machines by providing a robust digital signal that is used to trigger harvest cycles and water re-fill. Another technology we have developed, dTECT, is used in refrigerated soft drink and ice cream dispensers by enabling the machine to automatically sense the presence of a cup and begin dispensing, without interference from sunlight or other ambient lighting conditions.
